The state of New Mexico has contracted the company PSI to administer all licensing exams.

Your Guide to Exam Registration and License Application
Before you schedule your exam, a fingerprint and background check are required.
- You must make an appointment to get your fingerprint/background check by registering at IdentoGo. (While enrolling, enter the ORI Number for Office of Superintendent of Insurance (OSI): NM920210Z)
- After you enroll, print out your appointment confirmation and bring it along with your ID to one of IndentoGo's authorized locations to get your fingerprints done. The fingerprinting fee is $59. The background check results are sent directly to the OSI.
PSI provides in-person and remote testing.

Note: You can take the exam up to four times in order to pass an exam. After the fourth unsuccessful
attempt, you will be placed into a six-month waiting period and not be able to retake the exam until the waiting period is over.
Yay, now that you have passed your exam, it is time to apply for your license.
Visit the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) to apply. The licensing fee is $30.
